DRAFT 45 CFR 170.315(g)(31) Inferno Test Kit

Inferno on HealthIT.gov’s QA server has been updated to include a DRAFT ONC Certification (g)(31) Standardized API Test Kit which will be used in the future to certify Health IT Modules against ONC’s §170.315(g)(31) Provider prior authorization API – coverage requirements discovery criteria. This release of the test kit is a draft which is not yet ready for use for certification. Implementers attending the September HL7 Connectathon are encouraged to try the tests out and provide feedback before the certification-ready release planned for October 2026.

This suite is built off of the Inferno Da Vinci Coverage Requirements Discovery (CRD) Test Kit and targets the 2.2.1 version of the CRD IG. A detailed walk-through for executing the tests can be found on the ONC Certification (g)(31) Standardized API Test Kit wiki.
